Include more than entertainment
Streaming services are only one category. Software, cloud storage, memberships, fitness apps, delivery programs, news, creator subscriptions and other recurring services can all belong in the same monthly picture.
Watch for annual billing
If a service bills annually, divide the annual amount by 12 before entering it here if you want to compare everything on a monthly basis. Taxes, introductory pricing and future price changes are not included unless you account for them in the number entered.
Use the five-year figure as perspective
The five-year total assumes the monthly prices stay unchanged for 60 months. It is not a forecast; it is simply another way to visualize the scale of recurring spending.
